Compact layout for Termux and other narrow or portrait terminals
- Picked automatically below 80 columns or in a portrait window: no sidebar or borders, the menu opens from
≡ menu(orctrl+b), key hints wrap instead of being cut off. - Forms, Fine-tune, Components, Review checks and the deploy progress all fit at phone width.
◫ layoutat the bottom of the menu cycles auto / compact / wide and remembers it;-layout compact|wide|autopicks one for a run.
Fewer steps
- The wizard is four steps: Server (with downloads, HTTPS and networking), Homeserver, Components (settings on its second page), Review.
- An installed server opens straight on Manage.
- After update, check, restart, image check or scheduled backups succeed from Manage, interzone returns there by itself; any key stays on the result.
- Rollback, restore, user changes and forgetting a server are confirmed by pressing the same key or tapping the same row again.
Mouse and touch
- One click or tap anywhere on a list row opens it. Manage actions that change the server right away still take a second tap.
Faster remote actions
- ssh and Ansible share one connection per server for 10 minutes, so back-to-back actions skip the handshake.

released this
2026-10-25 04:46:36 +03:30 | 170 commits to main since this releaseThe whole UI now works with the mouse.
- Menu on the left: click a setup step, a Manage screen, a server or a section heading; click the fold control to fold or unfold it.
- Key hints: every key in the bottom bar and in confirm dialogs can be clicked.
- Forms: click a field to focus it, an option to pick it, a toggle to flip it.
- Lists: the first click selects a row, a second click opens it. On Components, a click on the checkbox toggles it directly, and the category tabs are clickable.
- Wheel: scrolls lists and forms.
While interzone has the mouse, hold
shiftto select text in most terminals, or start it with-no-mouse.Also fixed: in Fine-tune, a role row with both changes and "in use" no longer wraps onto a second line.

- Setup: the wizard's steps, done, current and to come.
- Manage: every Manage screen, with the action running from it, if any.
- Servers: your saved servers, with the active one marked.
The section you're in is open and the others are folded.
ctrl+bfolds the whole menu to a rail of icons (remembered between runs); terminals narrower than 100 columns always get the rail.Update with

2026-10-25 04:26:53 +03:30 | 172 commits to main since this releaseFine-tune moves to Manage and covers every playbook role.
- Fine-tune is no longer a wizard step; open it from Manage › Fine-tune the roles.
- It lists every role with defaults: the playbook's own, the ones from
requirements.yml(Traefik, Postgres, ntfy, Jitsi, Prometheus …) and the settings the playbook'sgroup_varsdefines itself, about 8,600 in all. - Each setting shows the role's default and the value the playbook's
group_varssets instead, which is what actually applies. - Roles in your setup are listed first;
/searches every role's settings at once.

2026-10-25 02:36:36 +03:30 | 174 commits to main since this releaseBlackout mode now defaults to a self-hosted interzone-mirror at infamous.g0th.ir.
New
- Self-hosted default mirror for all three settings: OS packages
https://infamous.g0th.ir, Docker Enginehttps://infamous.g0th.ir/docker, PyPIhttps://infamous.g0th.ir/pypi/simple. It carries exactly what interzone and matrix-docker-ansible-deploy install on Debian (trixie, bookworm), Ubuntu (noble, jammy, x86 and ARM), Raspbian bookworm and Arch, plus Ansible for Python 3.10–3.14. - Ubuntu on ARM and Raspbian now have an in-country mirror.
Notes
- RHEL-family distros and Fedora aren't on the self-hosted mirror; on those servers pick one of the public mirrors (still listed on the Network screen and in
interzone mirrors).
Tests
INTERZONE_CONTAINER_TESTS=1 INTERZONE_SELFHOSTED_MIRROR=http://<docker0 address>:8080 go test ./internal/deploy -run PlayContainers/selfhosted -vinstalls the playbook's packages from a local interzone-mirror on Debian, Ubuntu and Arch.

2026-10-24 22:35:35 +03:30 | 175 commits to main since this releaseBlackout mode now supports every distro matrix-docker-ansible-deploy does, with verified mirrors inside Iran as defaults.
New
- Known Iranian mirrors for OS packages, Docker Engine and PyPI, each checked to be in Iran and to serve fresh packages. Blackout mode starts with them filled in; the Network screen lists the alternatives and what each carries.
- OS packages: mirror.hostbaran.com (default), repo.abrha.net, mirror.arvancloud.ir, mirror.iranserver.com, mirror.mobinhost.com, mirror.famaserver.com
- Docker Engine: mirror.cdn.ir (default, all distros), repo.abrha.net/docker (Debian/Ubuntu)
- PyPI: package-mirror.liara.ir (default), pypi.iranserver.com, mirror-pypi.runflare.com, mirror.abrha.net, mirror2.chabokan.net
interzone mirrorstests every known mirror and shows which distros it carries.- Multi-distro OS package step: APT (Debian, Ubuntu incl. ARM ports, Raspbian), dnf (AlmaLinux, Rocky, CentOS Stream, Fedora, EPEL) and pacman (Arch). Only repositories the mirror actually carries are rewritten (with backups); the rest are reported as warnings.
- RHEL-family Docker: interzone writes
docker-ce.repopointing at the mirror (Docker's own file always names download.docker.com), installs EPEL from the mirror, and lets dnf skip unreachable repositories. - Pre-deploy check matches the server's distro and release against the chosen OS and Docker mirrors and suggests mirrors that carry it.
- Mirror checks test content, not just reachability: fresh security/update indexes, Docker repository indexes,
ansible-coreon PyPI.
Notes
- No mirror in Iran was found for Rocky Linux, CentOS Stream, Fedora, Ubuntu on ARM or Raspbian; interzone redirects them if you supply a mirror that carries them.
- RHEL itself can't be mirrored (Red Hat CDN); use AlmaLinux or Rocky.
Tests
INTERZONE_MIRROR_TESTS=1 go test ./internal/deploy -run KnownMirrors -vre-checks the catalog.INTERZONE_CONTAINER_TESTS=1 go test ./internal/deploy -run PlayContainers -v -timeout 30mruns the OS package step on Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux 9/10, Rocky, CentOS Stream, Fedora and Arch containers.

interzone v0.2.0 Stable
released this
2026-10-24 21:16:28 +03:30 | 177 commits to main since this releaseWhat's new
Checks before deploying. The Review screen logs into the server and checks root access, OS, CPU, Python, memory, disk space and ports 80/443/8448, then resolves every DNS record your setup needs and compares it with the server's addresses. If a check fails, enter asks twice before deploying.
Checks after deploying. Every install ends with the playbook's self-check and lists which services answer and what failed (certificate validation is skipped for self-signed setups).
Manage menu. Once a server is installed, Welcome offers Manage the server: update, run the self-check, restart all services, add a user (Synapse/Dendrite), close or reopen registration (Conduit, Continuwuity, Tuwunel), back up the Postgres database to this computer, and view any service's logs.
Offline bundles.
interzone bundlepacks the playbook with every Ansible role, Ansible's Python packages and the binary into one.tar.gzfor a machine with no internet;interzone unbundleinstalls it. Container images aren't included; use a registry mirror.No-TUI commands.
interzone applydeploys with saved answers (checks first;--force,--save-only,--quiet,--config), andinterzone checktests mirrors, the server and DNS.Also
- Roomier screens: padded panels, spaced fields and sections, two-line component rows.
- Invalid YAML in the extra vars box is caught on Review instead of failing mid-deploy.
- The domain
matrix.orgis no longer shortened toorg.
